HCL Launches the Cheapest Laptop

HCL one of the leading brands in computers, peripherals, and laptops has recently introduced one of the cheapest laptop in the world. It was priced at Rs. 14,000 which comes to around $350. This comes just after the launch of then cheapest laptop by Allied Computers for Rs. 14,999 some days back.

This cheapest laptops by HCL is named as MiLeap and there are two series namely X and Y. The price range starts from around Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 30,000. Among these models X series are the cheapest version while the Y series are of high end versions priced above Rs. 30,000.

Of course these cheapest laptops run on the Linux operating system and has indeed all the features that a regular laptop has like wi-fi ready, data card, etc. These laptops has Celeron processors.

These laptops have already started to hit the market and is indeed doing good business across India. Since India is becoming a major hub and big market for laptops, such cheap laptops will make the competition even more competitive and hence there is a chance of one getting an even more cheaper laptop soon.

HCL is already the market leader in laptops in India and this move would make it even bigger in terms of laptop sales. Also, remember that they were marketing their laptops as leaptops previously and have a good market share in this category.
